The one-hour lasting route (see below) through Bamberg's old town leads past the major sights, without leaving out the small, picturesque corners.

Our sightseeing tour is unique. In about 60 minutes our large route takes you through the three most beautiful quarters of Bamberg: the "Bergstadt" (Mountain Town), the central "Inselstadt" (Island Town) and the "Gärtnerstadt" (Gardeners' Town). There is no other way to get to know Bamberg as fast and free as on the tour with the BambergBus.
The 15 stops enable you to decide flexibly at which corner to hop off and on again to discover Bamberg. You can leave and get back on the bus again at any time - just as you favour. There are many cozy, interesting and historically impressing places waiting for you, which you would probably never have discovered whilest just driving by.
The "Altes Rathaus" (Old Town Hall), the "Mühlenviertel" (Mill Quarter) and "Schillerplatz" (Schiller Square)
Let's start your tour at our main stop at Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) right at Käthe Wohlfahrt (a souvenir shop) and leads you through the picturesque Mühlenviertel across the small island Geyerswörth to Schillerplatz with the preserved residential house of "E.T.A. Hoffmann" (famous German poet and writer) and the theater.
The "Hain" and the botanical garden
The Hain (small forest) , not only offers impressive historical mansions to marvel, but also Bamberg‘s idyllic Botanischer Garten (Botanical Garden) with its romatic idyll. The next stop leads you to the theological college at the Heinrichsdamm .
"Willhelmsplatz", "Wunderburg" and "St. Gangolf" church
Along the boulevard at the "Wilhelmsplatz" - it's architecture in the imperial era style will amaze you - we reach the Wunderburg with the prestigious brewery restaurants. Just like the Mahrs (Stop off and have a brew). Following, a little secluded, Bambergs oldest church comes in sight - St. Gangolf.
"Gärtnerstadt" (Gardeners' Town) und "Inselstadt" (Island Town)
From the Hauptbahnhof (Main Station) our bus brings you along the splendid Luitpoldstraße through the Gärtnerstadt (Gardeners‘ Quarter) with market gardens and the Gardening Museum right into the heart of the city on the island, to the shops in the Lange Straße and the boat dock Am Kranen with a nice view over the Regnitz river.
Univiertel (University Quarter), "Erba-Insel" und party zone
Through the university district and across the Markusplatz (Markus Square) we reach the Konzerthalle (Concert Hall) and the Erba-Insel (Erba Island recreational area) at the floodgate along the Regnitz river back to the Old Town to the Stadtarchiv (City Archive) close to Sandstraße, the Old Town‘s party zone.
"Dom" (Cathedral), "Neue Residenz" with its rose garden and the "Alte Hofhaltung"
The Sandstraße leads us into the Bergstadt (Hill Quarter) with its seven hills. Let us introduce you to the interesting, more than a thousand-year-old history of the Domberg (Cathedral Hill), the impressive Domplatz (Cathedral Square) . We take you right to the entrance of this impressive church. After your visit you can comfortably take the BamberBus to head back downtown.
